Children share everything: toys, desks, door handles, and unfortunately germs too. A solid cleaning routine helps keep classrooms healthier for learners and staff.
Daily
- Clean and sanitise desks, tables and chairs
- Wipe door handles, light switches and taps
- Clean and restock toilets and basins
- Empty bins and replace liners
- Sweep and mop floors
Weekly
- Wash plastic toys and shared equipment
- Wipe shelves, windowsills and cubbies
- Clean sports and playground equipment
- Deep-clean the kitchen and eating areas
Teach good habits
Hand-washing songs, reminder posters at basins and sanitiser at the classroom door make hygiene part of the routine. Kids learn fast when it's fun!
Child-safe cleaning
- Store all chemicals locked away and out of reach.
- Clean when children aren't present, where possible, and ventilate well.
- Rinse surfaces that children may put in their mouths, such as toys and high chairs.
- Always follow the dilution on the label.
